Greater Manchester Police have charged the five people, including a teenager from Radcliffe.
Callum Molyneux, 20, of Kings Close, Prestwich, Kaylum Briggs, 19, of Borough Avenue, Radcliffe, Jamil Satchel, 19, of West View, Haslingden, Aiden Ward, 21, of Whitegate Drive, Swinton, and a 17-year-old who cannot be named for legal reasons have been charged.
All are due to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on August 17.
This comes after a man was arrested in St Mary’s Park after a spate of bike thefts in Prestwich earlier this year.
Two people had reportedly been riding around the area on the look out for bikes to steal.
However, one of those people was arrested in late February this year.
