A TESLA driver has revealed exactly why he sold his – mostly due to one very big flaw.
Oto Gomes’ “biggest complaint” over the electric car is that he claims they cannot handle extreme temperatures.
In a video, posted to TikTok , the car-fanatic explained that he drove a Tesla for over four years until he couldn’t handle it anymore.
His issue? They “suck at extreme weather”.
Describing an experience he had in the Arizona desert when the temperatures hit 48C, he said the car “just wouldn’t turn on”.
To amend the issue, he had to locate a hose to water the car until it cooled down enough to re-activate.
Gomes continued his rant by also alleging Tesla’s cannot survive in extreme cold weather.
He said that he couldn’t get into the vehicle as the doors remain locked “because the car told me it was to cold”.
Reacting to his explosive comments, other TikTok users shared a mixed bag of thoughts on the worldwide EV brand.
“Car to smart an[d] that’s the problem,” replied one.
Another said: “This is what happens to any car in the heat or cold. People have to get battery warmers in certain places because of the cold.”
“I hundreds percent agree the battery was going down so fast [in] extreme hot and [in] extreme cold [it does] not do well,” a third wrote.
It comes as another Tesla owner revealed that she hates her EV as a simple maintenance job is a nightmare and one feature could even be dangerous.
Lifestyle influencer Erin Robinson complained about how if she was to break down or get a flat tyre – specialist equipment has to be ordered and you can ended up stranded.
Meanwhile, a man as revealed all the reasons why he sold his £124,000 Tesla Model S, saying it just wasn’t worth the money.
The executive saloon helped put Elon Musk’s company on the map when it launched in 2012 but it seems not everyone is happy with it.
The TikToker known as “DrSpouse” railed against the poor quality of its design, the “long lines” to recharge batteries and their “false range”.
In North London recently, baffled drivers watched in shock as a £100k Tesla Model X malfunctioned and had its doors knocked off by a double-decker bus.
The wild footage captured the black EV speeding down the road with its butterfly-style wing elevated before it smashes and shatters into the bus’ windscreen.
