Fans left stunned after Man Utd keeper Onana ‘takes out Sasa Kalajdzic’ but Wolves fail to get dramatic late penalty

FANS could not believe Manchester United avoided conceding a late penalty after Andre Onana collided with Sasa Kalajdzic.

With Wolves trailing 1-0 at Old Trafford they threw everything at the host’s in injury time.

And a long ball into the box saw new United keeper Onana come to collect but get nowhere near the ball.

Instead, he smashed right into Kalajdzic but no penalty was given by on-field referee Simon Hooper.

And VAR also chose not to intervene – leaving rival supporters stunned.

One said: “Yes, that should be a stonewall penalty after Onana punched Kalajdzic and completely missed the ball!”

Another added: “Genuinely what is the point of VAR? One of the most blatant penalties you will ever see….not given.”

One agreed: “Wolves have been absolutely robbed of a penalty there, disgraceful.”

Another fumed: “How is that not a penalty, Onana has taken out Saša Kalajdžić.

“If an outfield player does that I’ve no doubt it’s a penalty, think that’s another example of just how protected goalkeepers are.

“Manchester United extremely fortunate to escape that. That is a baffling decision.”
